hi, sorry if i posted this on the wrong thread, but is it true that the last amd graphics driver that support DX10 cards is 12.4? because i tried to install 12.6, and i selected custom install, but the list of the items to be installed shown in the catalyst install manager didn't include the display drivers... but when i tried installing 12.4, the display drivers, together with a few other options, returned. :/

I saw a post on the AMD gaming site that someone else had a 4XXX version GPU and it also wouldn't install the display driver.

UPDATE: Looks like support for 2xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx will still be updated but on a quarterly basis. I assume it will be a separate download.

thanks brink i have followed the tutorial but it dont show do i have to re-boot?

but it works using this program (but it does not place it at the top of the context menu)

yeah i thought its odd oh well i use the third party program for now. i restarted explorer after using your method but no show still.

yeah i did re-install but i went over it i did not un-install and do a fresh in-stall which i am going to do now as you read this

done the clean install but still not showing in context menu

brianzion I have the CCC shortcut too in the desktop context menu.

Although when I first start the computer I see a black border around the desktop for about 2 mins until CCC fully starts and my settings for overscan start working.

Anyone seen any improvements in performance on a single HD6XXX card specifically the 6870?I reverted back to 12.4 from 12.6 beta because i was having issues in my browser.How much better is 12.7 for a 6xxx series card,

for the 6870, the GUI is borked by the 12.7 (26th June) BETA (see above)
..tried to fix it via CCC - but, so far, haven't found a solution..:huh:
