Ok i got you sorry if i didn't post the correct info this should be the one now you wanted when i went into bios it was auto calibrated .

I also have the option to automate over clock etc .. but i only move the fsb up to 218 no real oc and i manualy opened up the ram to run the timming auto that was suggested and proper mhz 800

I didn't want to fidle around too much with anything hence my cpu does the job i did a automatic overclock before to 4ghz and it seemed slower so i just took it off and increased the fsb by a little

and everything is set to auto so i figure it has to be the suggested voltages given in the hwcpuz

Bumping your bus speed a little will effect your RAM as it gets bumped a little as well.

Lets see you CPUZ Memory tab, it will tell us if there is an issue there.

GTA IV (and EFLC) performance is still crap with these beta drivers. Still hoping AMD will fix this issue. Back to 10.10e for now (will try out 11 series when official released again).

I just played left4dead 2 for about 2 hours no bsod actually that was the game giving me issue to begin with and darksiders kinda did it once in a while

what i did was uninstall all ati drivers cleaned up everything and re installed the hotfix seems to have me stable

- Tesselation control slider
- Morphological AA




New Tessellation Controls:

The Catalyst Control Center includes an early prototype of some new tessellation controls. Our goal is to give users full control over the tessellation levels used in applications. The default selection “AMD Optimized” setting allows AMD, on a per application basis, to set the best level of tessellation. The intention is to help users get the maximum visual benefit of Tessellation, while minimizing the impact on performance. Currently no applications have been profiled, so the “AMD Optimized” setting will be non-operational until further notice.
“Use Application Settings” option gives applications full control over the Tessellation level. Users can also manually set the maximum tessellation level used by applications with the slider control

The long term goal for the “AMD Optimized” setting is to use the Catalyst Application Profile mechanism to control the AMD recommended level of tessellation on a per application basis. AMD’s intention is to set the tessellation level such that we will not be reducing image quality in any way that would negatively impact the gaming experience.

3DMark06 improves ~3%

Riddick Assault on Dark Athena SSAO performance improves ~20%
Unigine Heaven OpenGL performance improves ~10% at moderate, 30% at normal and 100% at extreme tessellation levels


AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series:

Aliens vs. Predators improves ~9% at 2xMSAA and up to 20% at 4xMSAA
Batman Arkham Asylum improves ~4%
Crysis Warhead improves ~2-4%
Metro 2033 improves ~28% at 4xMSAA
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series:
Battleforge DirectX 11 performance improves as much as 6%

Anyone notice with the newest drivers if their cards are are downclocking properly? I could have sworn with 10.10e at idle my 6870 was dropping to 100mhz core clock and now its only dropping to 300mhz.

slight delay with new control panel

Anyone one else notice there a slight delay when right clicking on the desktop with the last two driver updates with the new control panel?

I was having problems with my system and thought the delay was just another issue so I wound up reinstalling the OS. Anyways to make a long story short there was no delay prior to installing the Catalyst drivers. Now that the drivers are installed there is this short delay again, I'm thinking it has something to do with the new control panel.

The other reason I think it's the control panel is because Windows installed some of my drivers including the video card drivers during install and there was definitely no delay when right clicking the desktop, but again, now that the full catalyst package is installed, the delay is there. Never had this with the old panel.

Anyone else have or notice this?

I just installed the 32-bit Catalyst 11.1 suite -- and the version reports in CCC as 10.11.

Thinking I had installed the wrong version, I removed it entireley and installed it again.

Still reports CCC as 10.11.

So, is this really an "older" driver that AMD has misposted as 11.1?

same thing, they missed adding that one line to the INF, doesn't affect anything.

You can check your 2D and Direct3D driver version numbers against the one's shown here,

yes i have noticed that and the icon in the tray vanishes the old ccc was in the system tray after boot up there is a setting in ccc but it says mine is turned on ?

That matches mine in every respect, though for some reason mine doesn't list the Catalyst Version at all on the second line. I guess that's better than having it tell me the wrong one.

well if you use driver sweeper and apply the hotfix only you won't see the 10.12

also when you do apply the hotfix it will not tell you what version it is either .

the 10.12 is just the last major driver made even though you have the 11.1 now

Yes the ccc disappears and when you go to start up it opens then disappears it brings down the WEI as well a multitude of issues.

Im almost thinking of throwing back my hd5770 back in i had less issues with the ccc then i do with a 6870 kinda sucks.

I am hearing alot of bad things about the 5770 too so now im in the middle figuring what i should do ...... right now i am stable but who in the hell knows for how long

Well I have the icon in the system tray, and my WEI score is good - 7.6, but there's this delay when right clicking the desktop. Wasn't there before upgrading to the new control center. Hmmm.

Been running the 11.1 hotfix along with Win 7 SP1 for about a week with out any problem, just installed the released 11.1 for win XP and its running just fine. I run a dual boot system (Win XP pro 32bit/Win 7 64bit Ultimate)
