No mate just click on the link when it reminds you there is a new version / update just like Malwarebytes does too (if you haven't used it for a while ) it just goes through the instyall again only it's quicker than first time

You can either click on the link in the pop-up message that CCleaner gives you when notified that there's a new version available, or download the new CCleaner from the first page here and run the installer to update your current CCleaner.

No mate did you sign up with your email address at he time wherever you downloaded from and I think there is a a little tick box somewhere that says inform me of updated versions or something like that isn't there Shawn?

Yep, this would have to be checked below in CCleaner to be able to be notified by CCleaner of any new versions of CCleaner is available. Otherwise, you'll just need to download and run the new CCleaner installation file to update your currently installed CCleaner.

Nope. It only notifies you that there's an update available. You still must actually download and install the new CCleaner to update you current one.

Either way, but it's much easier to just download and install the new CCleaner with your currently installed CCleaner still installed to just update it. There's no need to uninstall the old CCleaner to update it.

No my friend you just install "over the top" - follow the prompts it's that simple I just signed up for an email when I first downloaded it

For updating CCleaner, you can click in lower right corner of cleaner page as well



I just go straight to Filehippo myself (it's one of the choices on the CCleaner site)
