I just received this one on Tuesday and have installed the magician program.

I ran the program and it said this is the latest firmware so, I guess it's up to date.

Flashing firmware just to have the lasted version can cause problems. Generally firmware upgrades are for specific problems and if you are not having that specific problem... If the upgrade is for general performance then by all means flash away.
