Latest NVIDIA ForceWare Video Drivers Windows 7

Well I think the folks at Nvidia are well aware of the trouble and mayhem the last couple of versions had so let's hope that's it for the problems.

After finally getting my 7600 GS to work properly, I am very hesitant to try another driver!

I don't think it's really worth upgrading drivers for the older range of cards anyway, I've not actually seen much of any improvement with my 8800GTS cards since the 182.xx range.. Most of the time, newer drivers are just to support new GPU features.

Nice finally a driver that is better then 196.21. Of all my games I think Just Cause 2 benefited the best with a very noticeable performance gain.

Looks like nvidia got it right this time,tried a couple of my games last night with the new drivers,both shift and bad company 2 work like a dream on the highest settings,no more jerking on shift just nice and smooth.

Hi

Ive done other threads on the following problem and I cant beleive it that more people dont seem to have this problem.

Im talking about the Sony Vaio AW Series (mines a 235J)and the fact Nvidia or Sont dont supply the software for the graphics card. Am I supposed to watch windows 7 stuff in low resolution? It does say at the start of this thread that Sony is not supported by this new sparkly driver update but when is this gonna happen.

Everyone here has other computers that work fine after a bit of f#@ing around with nvidia drivers, I wanna get this going as it is a nice computer and I will dual boot XP later on but I do want Windows 7 (32 bit) going.

Does anyone know when the official driver comes out? Or where I can download a working one and yes ive tried all the inf file substitutions and modding files. So has everyone else and they say they dont work on similiar forums. I cant beleive noone can write a driver for this computer.

Hello Ebbsy,

If it's an NVIDIA based graphics card, then you can use the NIVIDIA drivers for that series of card (or integrated chip) on the first page as well no matter what vendor made the NIVIDIA card.

as a warning, those are development/preview drivers only and will not benefit the end users that much. Its also developed on a seperate path compared to the recent released 197.45's and so do not include the same improvements, if any.

197.45 fails to operate successfully (minor environmental texture issue) on Neverwinter Nights 2.
196.21 required to work successfully. Effectively puts the new 4xx cards out of the question until this is fixed.
(Win7 64 bit versions of drivers behaviour confirmed).
