well that was the download from ms, yet I know that a few have been leaked to various torrent sites, one I have installed on a VM is 7227 that uses and activated with my RC key

well I would imagine if my key works and it activates legally then its legit, I'm just downloading from another source as MS pulled their download, now activating an RTM (which I'm not wanting to do as looking and asking for an RC copy that they give free anyway)
Not all torrents illegal you know lol, yes it has bad rep but so does everything

What is the latest stable build that I can use my RC key with? 7229 is the highest I have found where it doesnt say RTM

highest 32 bit you can use your key on is 7260. Even that isnt rtm. RTM=7600 and no keys are yet avail.

Unless they are obtained from legitimate sources like MSDN etc... Those have legitimate keys...

well I have win 7 home, on pre order from Pc world for £49.99 but I would love to get to grips with the new features and things before I get it
7600 was available from MS. Not sure if it still is. grab it if it is.

7600 is rtm and doesn't work with release candidate keys. There aren't legit keys out there yet for 7600.
