I have a B590 that came with Windows 7 Pro. I have been trying to get it to boot from USB and nothing seems to work.
I have the settings in the Bios at,
Under Boot Tab
Change Boot mode to Legacy
USB Boot should be enabled
Under Security
Secure Boot is disabled
and I set USB at first boot device.

As soon as I save and exit from Bios, it boots Windows.
I reboot and use F12 and click USB and it boots to Windows.
I have tried a Data Traveler and a Patriot Slate.
I have made them bootable in diskpart and tried FAT and FAT32.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this? I asked this in Lenovo forum, but I figure you guys are smarter.

Hello philetus now this begs the question what is on that USB stick? If it some form of Windows 7 media I am wondering how you managed to get it on a stick and also have you updated the USB drivers.

I am also concerned that you have been into the BIOS and changed it around like that not that I am any great expert on what should be changed, but I do know I had to change a few of the EUFI settings on my Asus ROG to get it to boot 7 which included changing the BIOS to the latest version before I could install 7 drivers.
This is the complete list for 7 64bit and the USB is second from bottom Laptops and netbooks :: Lenovo B Series laptops :: Lenovo B590 Notebook - Lenovo Support (US) -

Just a by the by EUFI BIOS on a laptop is in my experience harder to figure out than a desktop machine.

Thanks for your reply. It was all my fault. I messed up making the USB bootable. Don't laugh, I made it active but forgot to put the system files on it.

That's no problem mate and I certainly wouldn't laugh - if you knew of some of the stupid things I have done at times - it would make you weep;)
