Hi, I'm having difficulty with my Lenovo G570 because of the fact that the screen goes black and all I can see is my white mouse cursor.

Basically, I loaded up my computer to watch some Youtube videos, and once the video started playing my laptop screen suddenly frozed. I didn't really mind, so I took out the battery and booted it up again without any problems. When I attempted to get back onto Youtube however, it crashed yet again. Now I was worried; I once again removed the battery and I booted it up. This time the "Windows Error Recovery" came up, and I decided to click "Safe Mode". However, once the screen that says "Starting Windows" finished loading, I was left with nothing but a black screen and my cursor.

I have tried to find solutions to this problem online, but none have succeeded so far. However, I CAN access these (if i need to):

1. F12 for boot device menu
2. F2 for SETUP.
3. F8 for Advanced Boot Options.

Thank you for reading this, I am extremely confused and worried.
Please suggest ideas or ask questions, I'll answer them as best to my ability.

If you do know what to do, please don't hesitate to tell me I desperately need my laptop fully functional.

Thanks. :geek:

Hi Fuego, Welcome to Sevenforums.
When do you get this problem? As soon as you reach YouTube's homepage or when you start playing a video?
It may have something to do with the Adobe Flash Player plug-in which is required to play videos on YouTube.

Go to a website with Flash (like Adobe.com) and right click on the flash content and uncheck "enable hardware acceleration".

Keep us posted.

Hi Fuego293 .. Welcome to Seven Forums .. Did you make any Recovery Discs .. Have you tried the One Key recovery Option .. I assume your Laptop came with a Recovery Partition is that still available .. It is more than likely that you do not have any of these Options but all is not lost .. You should have the Product COA key if so you will be able to make a Clean Install even if you do not have the Windows Disc ... Read the Tutorial below which was written by one of our Installation Experts .. It has every thing you need for the Clean Install read it a few times before you start and follow it step by step..
