I have a Lexmark x8350 all in one. It worked fine with Vista, and it was working fine in Windows 7 (64 with Vista 64 drivers). All of a sudden it stopped working (not sure when-I was just trying to scan some family photos last night) I uninstalled it-reinstalled it and still no luck.

Here is what happens:

1. When I first boot up the Lexmark All In One Center, I can usually get a "preview" scan with no problem. However, every time I try to scan after that, it freezes and then quits.
Tried to plug it into different ports, etc. Is this toast? Not sure what else I can do here.
I am pretty tech saavy and tried everything that has worked in the past with no luck(I have had Lexmark All In One's for over 10 years)

Can you still print to the Lexmark? If so, it may be the scanning software has compatiblity issues with Windows 7. Have you tried other scanning software? I use HP software so I am unfamiliar with most 3rd party software. Try Picasa from Google. I've had luck scanning with that app.

Actually I tried printing and the printing works-it is just the scanning.
Going to reinstall it and hope for the best..

Something is wrong with the scanner.
The print function of the printer is fine. I tried to scan from Picasa and Photoshop-it won't import anything. It just hangs up.

Lexmark Interpret S405- Photoshop CS5- Windows 7 x64

I'm not sure what the deal is with my lexmark all in one either, I don't even get the import option in photoshop x64 or x86. It has never appeared in the x64 version no matter what drivers I use. It had been working fine with the CS4 and CS5 versions of photoshop x86, until I updated the driver. Now not even rolling the thing back from the CD seems to help.

I've even deleted the drivers from every computer in the house and re-installed from the CD, re-creating the whole wifi connection and everything for it again and get nothing.

The main disappointment is that it won't show up in Acrobat anymore to use the document feeder and scan to a PDF. If I scan anything it's got to be one page at a time through the control panel app.

Now I understand why the thing was 50% off when I bought it...
