I just added in a DVD drive, and IMGburn and CDCheck are both reading DVDs at 2-4x speed, which is pretty ridiculous. I did a search online and a number of FAQs recommended checking IDE/ATAPI controller settings to make sure the drive is set to DMA, but in my device manager, no devices are listed under ATA Channel 0/1 Properties >> Advanced Settings.

Can anyone help?

I think that the DMA setting is set in the BIOS. You should get an option in 'Standard CMOS Settings' (or something similar) to change the CD drive mode.

Hope this helps :)

Have you tried changing the speed value in ImgBurn to a higher setting?
