Solved LG29 UM65 Monitor

[PSCO2007]

I just got this monitor and it is great.

Just one thing is annoying - when I boot, a message comes on that says my resolution is set at 1024X1060, which is wrong.:sarc:

It is set at 2560 X 1080.

The message says click to no longer see this message, but the mouse doesn't work and pressing Enter on keyboard doesn't work as well.

I spoke to LG and they haven't a clue.

Anyone know how to correct this annoying message?

is their any buttons on the monitor to adjust settings for it.

Yes, but not for Resolution.

I went to Screen Resolution on Desktop and it shows it is set at 2560 X 1080.

when you get that message can you try pressing a button on monitor to get rid of message?

interesting problem. never seen that one before. how are you hooking it up to computer? hdmi?

Yes - HDMI.

I'll try that, but as I said, LG doesn't have a clue and it's not a real biggie, just annoying.

i dont think it's going to make a differance just suggesting things to try. from what i seen when checking out your monitor specs looks nice.

I agree - just want to even know why I'm getting that silly message.

Maybe try to enable Legacy USB Support or however it's named in your BIOS and then you might be able to use your mouse/KB to click that message which will hopefully then go away for good. If it does work disable Legacy again after

This is the best monitor I've ever had.

The screen is beautiful ; I can split the screen into 4 sections, which is great in that I can watch TV( have HD tuner), surf Web, check email, etc.

Some people on another forum made fun of its size, but it's only 2 and 1/2 " larger on either side than my old 23" Acer monitor and has internal speakers which are very nice for radio and it eliminates desk clutter.

I got it 2 weeks ago from Fry's for $299.00 on a special promo and I can't believe the prices are around $500.00 now.

I am not sure there is a problem. Exactly when does this message appear? If when the computer first boots and BEFORE the boot drive is hit and the ESSENTIAL graphics drivers installed, Windows, your graphics solution and your monitor WILL operate at default standard resolutions. Once the boot drive is hit, and Windows loads the graphics drivers to set your new resolution, it should be working fine.

If the message goes away by itself, I would not worry about it. If the message remains after Windows fully loads, then there is a problem.

The message appears as the PC boots.

The message says "click to not see this message again."

Nothing eliminates the message upon subsequent boots, but the monitor works as it should and the resolution is 2560 X 1080 - it's just that the message is annoying.

Guess I'll have to live with it.

Sadly - in part, due to poor wording on my part - the most important question remains unanswered. Does the error message go away by itself once Windows fully boots? Or do you have to click on it to make it go away?
