Hi All,

I really need your expert help please;

Ive had to reinstall my version of Windows 7 64 bit, and am now going through the arduous process of reinstalling hardware etc.

Ive come to the point of trying to install the Lifecam3.60.exe file, which loads up and then tries to download the software to get the webcam working. However, im guessing Microsoft have deleted the software on their servers and thus it wont download.

Has anyone got the offline version of the installer, or who can somehow assist me in getting this to work, as I really need a working webcam.

Many thanks

Didn't understand what you mean.
The Softpedia link for the drivers is Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 Driver 3.60.250.0 for Vista/Windows 7

It is a cab file. Extract to a folder.
1. Go to Device Manager (right click on My Computer, choose Manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel)
2. Right click on the Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 and choose Update Driver Software
3. Choose to select the location of the new driver manually and browse to the folder where you extracted the driver

Yes, I understand what you are suggesting, which does indeed get the device driver to install.

However, it does not install the LifeCam software, which allows you to record the video, take pictures or add filters.

Yes, correct, and no, im not using an HP machine, so im afraid that link is no good.

As for the LifeCam software, I have already done that, and ive already got those downloads. The actual problem is, that download then tried to download stuff from Microsoft, but the link within the software no longer has anything, so the install fails :(
