Hey all,

I have Win7 Pro installed on my PC, which uses a linksys wireless USB adapter for internet. I have the latest driver installed, but what happens is the driver won't be retained in the settings after I reboot it. The only way to keep this from happening is to hibernate the PC. Never had this problem before and it seems very odd to me since I don't see a reason for Windows to delete the driver...

Help is appreciated!

hmmpff... i've uninstalled it several times and then reinstalled it... plugged it out and back in... but everytime i reinstall it, it'll give me a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager...

the model is a linksys WUSB54G ver. 4.... everything else is working well, it's just this really strange tiny problem and very actually annoying problem that's driving me crazy...

Try un-installing, reboot, then re-installing.
Configure your wireless settings.
This driver hasn't been updated in awhile, so you may have to use compatibility mode.
See what happens...i wish I could be there the odds greatly imcreases if i could see in person what is going on, ohh well:)
My friend had exactly the same device, only diference it wasn't working anymore, threw it in the garbage and bough a dlink PCI wireless adapter she's happy now..lol

hmm... i will try that later.. BUT, as far as i can remember, there's no .exe file for that to do compatibility mode... i think i did it via device manager where it looks for the .inf file...

thanks for the info! we'll see, i dont have access to it right now...
