"Listen to this Device" option is not working; using USB headset
Hi there. Recently I've been wanting to do a video game gameplay/commentary video similar to JonTron or AVGN. Yesterday I spent a bunch of time getting everything set up. I use the official PS3 wireless USB headset with a microphone.
What I did yesterday was to set my laptop's speakers as the default device and plug headphones in to activate the sound card, since Windows makes the USB from my headset be the sound card when it is plugged in.
I sent my microphone to the speakers, and the speakers to the Stereo Mix, and checked "Listen to this device" so I could listen to the game in my headphones while I played. It worked great yesterday, but today it won't.
I get a signal talking into my mic, but no matter what I do I cannot get "Listen to this device" to do anything for my microphone. Yesterday if I did that I would hear my voice in my headset (for testing). Once I set my speakers as the default playback device (as I did yesterday) I lose audio in my headset and can't get it back unless I set it as the default.
Is this a driver issue? I didn't change anything from yesterday when it worked. Sorry for the long explanation!
