First of all, hello Windows Seven Forums Community.

So, I'm having an issue with my video card lately. Two weeks ago my video card was working perfectly fine at a stock setting (850mhz & 50% Fan Speed)

But lately this is the issue I've been getting,

When starting any game (Could be a game from 2004 or even 2013), after 30-60 seconds..my computer will completely freeze and my screen will just go into No Connection Mode. The computer is still on but completely frozen with the black screen due to my monitor going unresponsive. After restarting the computer, the windows will be loading but after the loading screen, my monitor will go unresponsive again and I'll have to shutdown my computer for about 10 minutes just to get back into windows.

After loading back into windows, I've tried testing my Graphic Card with the Catalyst Test Settings and even when that start, my computer will freeze and my monitor will go unresponsive again under 60 seconds.

Would anyone know what could be the cause of this?

If you look at the bottom left of your post you'll see a 'My System Specs' dropdown box. Can you fill in your system specs there please as I (and no doubt some others) can't see the image you posted while at work.

It sounds to me like a temperature problem with your GPU. Have you monitored the temperatures when this happens? I would recommend uninstalling the card, removing it and cleaning out the fan and heatsink area so it's free from dust build up. Then reinstall the card using the latest drivers and making sure you perform a clean install.

Alright I just updated my system specs.

Yes, I did monitored it and I uninstalled the card, removed the heatsink, cleaned out the whole thermalpaste from it and added some fresh paste, installed everything back and reinstalled the drivers and I'm still having the same issue.

PS: I've checked my event logs and it seems the only thing that I'm getting as an error is the following,

The AODDriver4.2.0 service failed to start due to the following error:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

AODDriver is the AMD Overdrive utility. Have you been overclocking your card?

EDIT: AMD Overdrive looks like it may pertain to the APU not the GPU. Can you check in Device Manager and see if Overdrive is listed in there. Also how did you remove your GPU drivers previously?

I can't seem to find it and I uninstalled it by the AMD Uninstaller itself and once manually through the device manager.

The AMD uninstaller can be pretty messy if you're running an AMD CPU/APU as it can remove things that they need when you clean up GPU drivers. I would uninstall CCC completely and work on making sure your chipset drivers are all installed and up to date, then work on bringing your GPU up to date with the latest WHQL drivers (there have been known issues with beta drivers causing issues with Overdrive).

If you ever remove GPU drivers in future, do it manually, or at least set a Restore Point before doing so. If you can work through the steps above first off then let us know how you get on we'll go from there.

PS: For the past hour I've been playing my games on my APU Graphic Unit and it seems to be find so its really something wrong with my Radeon HD 6770

I agree, but let's iron out any other errors first to make sure they're not contributing.

What games are you playing at and what settings by the way?

GTA IV - Medium Settings (APU Can't handle much)

So, I turned off my computer and installed my Radeon HD 6770 back and plugged my monitor into it and turn it on. I get to the Starting Loading Splash screen and after that the splash screen disappear, my screen becomes unresponsive again but I realize, when it does that, it seems my GPU Fan Speed increases because it makes a louder noise. So right now I'm stuck as I can't get my GPU to work after the Starting Windows screen.

You did completely uninstall CCC and all GPU drivers before taking it out? I don't really think thats the problem but best to check. Can you try the card in a different PCI-e slot?

Actually have you disabled the onboard graphics in the BIOS before putting the card back in?
