live mail won't accept server

This is a new computer and my first experience with Windows 7. Whenever I attempt to send or receive in live mail, it asked for a user name and password but won't accept the one I have established. The error message says that I have entered the incorrect password but I know that is not true. What am I doing wrong

Hi spottails and welcome to The Seven Forums. As your settings for Windows Live Mail depend on your ISP, I would suggest you go to the website of your email provider. Nowadays, they have all the information you need, tutorials and sometimes they will automatically set it for you. The fact your being asked for any info means it is not configured correctly, not your fault just one of the little tweaks you always need with a new computer and O/S. Good Luck
