Live streaming

I recently purchased a USB to HDMI 2.0 adapter and 20 ft of HDMI cable. I needed this because my cable tv is getting too $$$$$. My problem is that I got it all hooked up right and I do have picture and sound on my tv for streaming from the computer. BUT, the picture is all herky, jerky and freezes up every couple of minutes for quite a while. I don't know if it is the adapter that is doing it or my computer is too slow for the streaming. I have Windows 7 with 2 gb ram and graphics card Intel(R) G41 express chipset Whatever all that means. I am very computer illiterate. So if anyone out there in computerland can help me, it would be muchly appreciated.

Hi raysmith2, welcome to sevenforums,

I would suggest that if it is possible to add more RAM then do. This will help to a certain degree.
If my memory serves me correctly I think that increasing the paging file if you can will also help.

Upgrading your RAM is one thing, we also need to know which processor you have on your computer and if that GMA X4500 supports supports HD playback.
