Perusing Microsoft's site for updates I find is a nightmare.

The easiest and straight-forward way to download an update is to navigate to Just a moment... who retrieves the updates for you to download. You can search the site for anything you want/need and the chances are it will be there for you to download. My MSE update version is 1.427.566.0.

However, I do stress that this is a legitimate site, not a crack site.

I have done so many times but it rarely updates. I check with Microsoft and realise how far behind I am with the updates. It appears other people seem to have this issue as well. In short, just a quick way to update if you feel you are 'left behind'.
