Cookies:

• cookies.sqlite

Yes, I know what a cookie is. The question was "Where are they?" Now the question is "where is .sqlite?"

Ok, about:support profiles gets me to cookies:sqlite, but the file is not accessible being "opened by another program". Copying the file elsewhere allows it to be opened, but it's just cryptic crap. IE11 kept its favorites in an easily accessible file called "Favorites" which could be easily modified and copied to other of my computers so as to maintain uniformity throughout my system.

The .sqlite file is a relational database, explained in the first link below. If you just want to view it, then scroll down near the the bottom of the article where you'll find this:

Thank you. I found cookies.sqlite on an older desktop, and copied it to a USB drive. I pasted it to my laptop and other computers.
The net result was to revert https://news.google.com to its previous format which is far superior to the new format, since the format pattern flag apparently is contained in it's cookie.
I wanted to "read" the cookie so as to modify it, if possible, but this works just as well.

Yes, that works well. In fact I copy and paste the entire contents of my Firefox profile to each new machine that I install Firefox on. Not only do I get all my cookies and bookmarks, but also all my Firefox settings too.
