I installed the new Windows 10. After realizing it literally brought my computer to a crawl, I quickly went back to Windows 7 using the Windows 10 online instructions. I now have no location sensor, or any other sensors that I can find. Does anyone know how I can retrieve my sensors?

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Highly recommended to create a system image before upgrading although the free upgrade ended July 29th so why the late upgrade did you buy win-10 or something ?

Location censor ?
Not sure exactly what you're referring to unfortunately :(

Bryan, give us your hardware specs.
Normally a computer don't have location sensors. As win 10 spy you as he can, it has a rough idea where the computer is by the II address.

I upgraded (and then downgraded) to Win10 last December... still trying to figure out how to get my gps back. Silly thing, but I like weather/local data available on the desktop. Since my last post, I tried downloading a BroadCom GPS Driver for Toshiba, but it doesn't appear to be working. I'm not really too computer savvy. When I go to Control Panel, Location and Sensors, it says there are no sensors installed. I had the ability before the Windows 10 upgrade, so I just assumed uninstalling the upgrade removed the sensor. I backed up my entire harddrive before upgrading, but I'm not certain what file name I should look for in the backup. Thanks for all the replies.

I don't have a need to FIND my computer, since it never moves. I'm looking for something to allow me to get access to 'local' stores, weather, etc. Am I confused? probably.

Bryan, give us your hardware specs. Toshiba? What model?
Open Control Panel - Device Manager and look to see if there is a yellow mark on any hardware.
Open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Location and Other Sensors and have a look if you find it.

Give this a look. It's worth a shot. Read it over though. GPS Sensor Driver (64-bit)
