Hi - Have just performed an upgrade from Vista Home Premium x64 to Windows 7 Home Premium x64. In doing so the previous version of Setpoint became unworkable so I installed the latest version (4.8) on the Logitech website. I had some problems initially but finally managed to get the software working on my own account (administrator).

All other user accounts however receive the message "Setpoint has encountered a problem and cannot continue. Please reinstall setpoint to correct this". Full mouse and keyboard functionality (MX5500) is not available to these users.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Gary,

Thanks - yes tried to run as admin for all users and in compatability mode for Vista (though the software is the Windows 7 64 bit version). There appears to be little by way of support on the Logitech website.

Thanks,

Martin

I've found the logitech setpoint app leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately. I had to install it a couple of times and reboot a few times to get it working more or less properly on my W7 system. I have a feeling they will update Setpoint again to improve compatibility with W7, hopefully soon, now that W7 has been released to the general public and more users will be reporting issues with it.
