Hello,
I post here for the first time, but I spent many hours yesterday browsing the Internet in search of some possible solutions to my problem. The only thing I found, and what exactly covered the problem was this thread on the forum: https://www.sevenforums.com/general...oard-changes-way-pc-goes-into-sleep-mode.html.

I have Logitech MK260 wireless combo set (keyboard & mouse) for almost seven years. In the last few days I noticed exactly the same problem as the one described by the user from the above link. Why have I noticed the problem now? A few days ago I started using some software which doesn't allow my desktop computer to turn off monitors (I have two of them) with normal Windows power settings. So I decided to download NirCMD so I could turn them off manually. And then the problem occured. When I launch NirCMD with either Logitech mouse or keyboard (with some keyboard shortcut), the screens turn off, but only for 5 minutes. Then they switch back on.

I did many tests on this issue, because at first I didn't even know what caused it. I also checked it on my
laptop (both my desktop and laptop run on Win7 HP x64) and everything was ok there. So I moved the
Logitech combo set from desktop to laptop and then the same problem occured on the laptop as well. I also
connected my other wireless mouse (Lenovo N100), which I normally use with the laptop, to the desktop
computer. Then everything was ok, the monitors stayed off. After all this testing it became clear to me that
the problem is caused by the Logitech set. Then I recalled some other observation from an earlier time: I
have the desktop computer set to turn off the display after 10 minutes idle. In fact, the monitors always
turned off after 15 minutes, so here was also a 5 minute delay. I tried instaling the latest driver from the
Logitech website, but nothing has changed at all.

Finally, I found this thread on the forum which I linked above. The conclusion of this discussion was to just
change the keyboard and mouse to the devices of some other manufacturer. So my question is: is it the only possible solution in my situation or is there any other option to solve the issue? As I mentioned at the
beggining, I have this combo set for almost seven years, so it probably doesn't even make sense trying to sell it or something. Anyway, if there really is no other option than buying new items, I'll have to do it, but first I'd like to be sure that this is the only solution.

Thanks in advance for your help ;)
