One tool that I regularly use when family or friends complain about depleted hard drive space is WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics. It tells you where and what is taking up said space. Seems like a neat alternative. I personally didn't like the GUI though. On the other hand, it's natively portable so I'm definitely adding this to my set of tools. Thanks for the tip

I think it's relatively easy to find what's taking up space in an HD, but i do have a NirSoft tool (I think, maybe it's another suite) that does the same as those

Yep that Gray Ghost I used to be in one of their forums and they were incredibly slow as for emails hmmmmmm quicker by snail mail I reckon

lol, don't worry! I know what I'm doing It's my choice. I can reinstall, I probably memorized the clean install tutorial by heart, (plus I use a little command line magic during install with SHIFT+F10 for customization, lol) the only thing i have to worry about when i get a new laptop with windows is... water, the terrible substance that ruined my last one...

it's aright,i didn't mean to offend you at all, and sorry if somehow i did. I am told i probably should alot, and once i run into problems, I promise,if I can't solve it myself, this will be the first place I will go
