loss of wireless connectivity

I was able connect to my dlinl dgl4500, prior to having some java issues. I fixed the java problem, but now i am only able to connect via cat5 cable. The system can not connect to the router, & can't find the problem. I am at wits end, regarding this problem.

Probably a wifi driver. type device manager in search. go to the networking tab. see if your wifi is listed. does it have a yellow triangle on it? are there any other "unknown" devices with yello0w on them?

Thanks for you help. I did as you advised. did not see anything out of the ordinary. Under the general tab it says that the "dell 1397 wlan mini" is working properly. the driver version is 5.30.21.0 (07/07/09).

So not a driver, your screenshot didnt up load. tell us more about the router and network setup

Sorry about that. I have the router conected to a broadband modem.
