Lost my breadcrumbs in Windows Explorer

Windows Explorer used to show the entire breadcrumb trail, e.g. C: > Users > Sissy13 > Desktop > MyFolder. Suddenly it has started showing only the current folder, e.g. >MyFolder. This seems to be true for folders on my desktop only; folders in other locations still display the full trail.

Does anyone know how to get the full breadcrumb trail back for desktop folders?

hi I have to ask as I just tried it out. this is your e.g C: > Users > Sissy13 > Desktop > MyFolder. I did as you say clicked on c: then users then my name then then desktop then folder I wanted. it shows correctly but if you open windows explorer and just click on desktop it will not leave the bread crums your talking about.
