I've just moved house and had to dismantle the PC to pack it. I've reassembled it but have no sounds. I stupidly didn't photograph the connections. I have 2 small speakers and a bigger bass one. I have connected the 3 orange/black/green cables to the colour coded sockets on the back of the big speaker and PC. I have 2 black plugs in the front left/right sockets. Control Panel Sound shows "Realtek Digital Output". Realtek's HD Audio Manager is set up for Stereo Speakers and tests fine with sounds from L and R speakers. However I get nothing from audio cd's, games etc.

Can someone please tell me what I've done wrong?

Without complete PC specs and the speaker system we can't say for sure.

However, Digital Out is usually not correct for PC speakers. It should be set for "Speakers".

With a "2.1" speaker system there is only one connection from the speaker system to the PC and that is to the GREEN speaker jack on the PC.

Well done. Brilliant in fact. This isn't the configuration I had previously but it's actually a lot better. I can hear the stereo!

Thanks a lot.
