I have one problem regarding hidden file of Battle of middle earth 2

I installed few maps(its just copy and paste) C:\Users\keyur\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files\Maps. But the problem is that some of the maps become hidden for some reason. It appears in game but I cant see in that folder. I also checked "Show hidden file and folder option". I also used search option to find particular file. But those things are not working any suggestion would be welcome...

I got mine working by doing:

-> win+r %appdata&
-> My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files
-> Made a new file called options.ini
containing:

AllHealthBars = no
AmbientVolume = 50.000000
AudioLOD = High
Brightness = 50
FlashTutorial = 0
GameSpyIPAddress = 192.168.1.2
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
MovieVolume = 70.000000
MusicVolume = 70.000000
Resolution = 1280 960
SFXVolume = 70.000000
ScrollFactor = 50
SendDelay = no
StaticGameLOD = UltraHigh
TimeInGame = 5
TimesInGame = 6
UseEAX3 = no
VoiceVolume = 70.000000

-> saved it
-> downloaded the SEE mod "See mod link"
-> followed instructions

Now this works for me on a 64 bit win7 os :3

Found the solution... I bet you have a big monitor, as i do. It seems EA doesnt like big monitors. So the solution is to add an Options.ini in the C:\Users\[your login name]\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) Files folder (or C:\Documents and Settings\[your login name]\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files if you use XP) and put the following content in that new created file:
AudioLOD = High
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
Resolution = 1024 768
StaticGameLOD = High
TimesInGame = 5

Please tell me if it works. (i havent reached home to test it, but i`m pretty sure that`s the problem because i have 2 different pc. One that works and one that doesnt work. The one that works has a 1280x1024 maximum resolution capable attached to the comp. The other one who doesnt work has a 1920x1080 res)
I thank you at all. very good, i solved it properly.

Still not working

I don't mean to rehash an old topic but i've tried everything under the sun to get BFME2 to work. I just found this thread and it seems it might have better results. I've updated my game, created the options.ini folder, created the 'maps' folder and everything else that was recommended. I'm running a legal copy with no NoCD alterations of any kind. I get a loading screen then it flashes once and I have to close it via Task Manager because it won't run properly. Any ideas?

Hopefully someone will see this and be able to help since it's an older thread. I am having the same problem as many others have had with this game and compatibility with Win 7 (32 in my case). Anyway, I installed it last week and it would crash in the splash screen. After doing a little research I found a patch and a YT video that shows how to install it:

How to make LOTR BFME 2 work with Windows 7 HD - YouTube

I installed the patch and the game fired up for me, but after a few minutes into the game every good character and building in Rivendell up and dies. After doing some more research it appears this happens when the PC recognizes the game as a copy (mine is not - I recently won an eBay auction from a reputable seller and it came with the original box, all discs, Keyboard card, manual with Keygen on the back). Anyway, when I try the above instructions I am stuck because on my machine there is already an options.ini file. within it all these values:

AudioLOD = High
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
Resolution = 1024 768
StaticGameLOD = High
TimesInGame = 5

(and several more are present) match the above except
mine says TimesInGame = 6 instead of TimesInGame= 5. I changed it and that didn't work. I tried a new .ini file and I couldn't replace the first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is what is in the options.ini folder that is already present:

FlashTutorial = 0
GameSpyIPAddress = 192.168.1.2
HasSeenLogoMovies = yes
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
MovieVolume = 70.000000
MusicVolume = 70.000000
Resolution = 1280 960
SFXVolume = 70.000000
ScrollFactor = 50
SendDelay = no
StaticGameLOD = UltraHigh
TimesInGame = 6
UseEAX3 = no
VoiceVolume = 70.000000

Thank you for any help.
