I'm getting very low speed while coping data from from my int hd to my ext hd (seagate expansion). Speeds around 30-40mbps. Just 10 mbps over usb 2
Ports are okay , cable is okay too and drivers are upto date.

After a lot of research I'm coming to the conclusion that this happening due to my int hd. SEAGATE ST3160215AS

Hard Disk Sentinel - Technical details for disk SEAGATE ST3160215AS

Also these are HD tune results (read ) for my int hd -

HD Tune Pro: ST3160215AS Benchmark

Test capacity: full

Read transfer rate
Transfer Rate Minimum : 1.9 MB/s
Transfer Rate Maximum : 72.3 MB/s
Transfer Rate Average : 45.1 MB/s
Access Time : 18.1 ms
Burst Rate : 110.6 MB/s
CPU Usage : 27.4%

Most of the time the coping speed was 40mBps and the above average speed is 45.1MBps .... not much difference.

Now is there any way to improve these speeds ?
I mean the specs of my int hd are not too bad.

Apart from this can there be any other reason for slow speed ?

Please help me !
