LS 120 problems

i have a working LS 120 Drive and i love and will never give up it reads floppy's and LS 120 Disks fine but when i go to format a LS 120 disk it says it windows cant format this type of disk insert a different disk and try again (the list is unlocked)

is there a driver i have to install to make it work??

I used to do that too then I retired! ;) Actually if I hadn't gotten non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and had to go through chemotherapy my brain might still want to build pc's. I was going to suggest that you try it in another PC on the off chance it gives you the same problem since I don't think Windows 7 does anything but treat an LS 120 as an IDE device which means MS drivers would be all it needed.

ya it works fine under Xp i already tried that took it out used an IDE to USB off a laptop works fine

You led me to my next thought and that was to try it with a USB enclosure. I don't understand why W7 would not format the disks it's simply a 120Mb IDE disk.......

LS-120 support broken here as well

Drive works perfectly under DOS, XP, and Ubuntu. Under Windows 7 it won't even mount a disk.
