ACDSee still accepts my old serial
Bryce 6.1 I lost my old serial and the new company doesn't have a record of my purchase. it doesn't have a serial I was just lazy and didn't uninstall the 9 pieces.

FL studio 7 doesn't require a serial can't remember if its legit will uninstall if the challenge needs.

He's an expert in pirating software and he doesn't know which one is free and which one is not.
I've seen scammers but not like this.

I must be missing something here, but what is the ultimate point to this?

I understand wwoods has offered a free copy of Seven if Mac removes all pirated software - but playing devils advocate here (sorry mac) , but what is to stop him from:

• Formatting Seven, show screenshot of 'pirate free' fresh installation - receive prize, re-install Pirated SW

• Uninstall all pirated SW, show screenshot - receive prize, re-install Pirated SW

It just seems like a big reward for very little effort :huh:

If I can put the challenge into a slightly different context ...

Is it possible for someone who has become reliant on cracked/pirated commercial software to continue to provide the same services to their freinds and family using only legitimately available free or open source software.

This is I think an interesting concept and the e x c e r c i s e (sorry for the language Z3r010 ) itself may be useful to anyone who has limited funds and could be tempted to follow the Pirate route.

I have myself set up systems for users using only "no Cost" options in the past - but only for general home type use - Surfing / WP / photo fixing Etc. so it will be of interest to see what can be done.

Lucky this isn't a Linux site. That's at least a 20 page debate thread off that one question alone

The thing is that, in the real world, come December this year there are going to be a lot of people with nice shiny new systems running Windows 7. With the current financial situation a lot of these people will not be capable of spending four or five times the cost of the system to load it with software to make the system useful to them.

It would be and interesting project to put together a DVD ISO containing the software for these machines - all windows 7 compatible software at zero cost - If I get time over the next few weeks I may do something myself

well I had just written a lot and hit reply but i lost connection and lost it all. I am going someplace to get a better connection so I can write that again.

I know I have to uninstall all pirated software no exceptions. I also know I have to stay legit which is something I want to do. I will explain more later.

I am working on a list right now. I just spent the last hour formatting my 250GB hard drive that contain on my pirated stuff. I am downloading tons of free stuff to test out along the lines of network testing software, backup software, photoshop replacement, I have free anti virus stuff.

I am also busy transfering my wife's phone to the replacement that came in and having issues backing up the old phone.

its a blackberry 8100, I just had to download the OS again for a clean install of the replacement phone. its funny how I am searching for free software when my wife finds free smart phones. seems the local t-mobile stores like to give them away to get business.

Meh...you assume I am being naive. I assure you I am not. I would like to here from macgyver2 on his progress though...
