Macrium 5.0 WinPE.iso is an updated 64 bit recscue CD for Macrium Reflect

I needed to restore a HD image from my portable USB HD so I booted my 64 bit laptop with this CD, it told me that it required a driver for the USB port to work and asked for the location that it should scan to look for the driver. I was really desperate so I pointed the app to the C drive. After 10 minutes or more of scanning, it located the required driver and worked flawlessly!!

A Windows 7 64 bit driver working on a Win PE is that crazy or what?

I was lucky this time that my hard disk was in tact and could use it to load the driver. If the hard disk had a roblem, I would have been in a bind

I don't trust CD-R media as after some time the data on it evaporates so I'd like to put this iso on a flash drive. How do I do that?

Thank you kado897 for the app

It worked flawlessly in converting iso to USB

*I plugged in my newly created rescue flash drive into a usb port and rebooted
Macriu started but did not "see" my portable usb HD

*trial2
plugged in the rescue flash drive into a usb port and the port hd ino another usb port and restarted
hd was recognised

just to check I tried trail 2 again
this time the usb hd was not seen

WHY THE INCONSISTENCY?

Macrium Reflect aside, I have a partition D on my internal hard disk by the name of restore but I can't access it through my computer or explorer

Is there a way whereby I can use any software to image my C drive on the D partition?

I always find it better with USB devices at boot to power everything off and boot from there.

so you mean I plug in my port USB HD first before booting?

Yes that's right. I don't know how well WinPE handles plug and play so I make sure that the BIOS recognizes the disk before booting from the flash drive. In my case that is easy as it offers the USB HDD as a boot option.

hi guys, i'm very new to this image restore stuff.
i recently sold out my old pc (intel i3and intel dh55tc), and bought a new one (i5 and dz68db).
before selling i made an macrium image of system drive (320 gb), which i restored on new hdd (320 gb), i could successfully restore the system drive (100 mb) and C: drive as well.
but after restarting pc won't boot, and asking me to launch repair options. i attempted repair option but it didn't help, i tried restoring image two/three times, but facing some problem and now stuck in no booting situation.
anybody had such problem?
any help?
thanks and regards in advance.
