Create a separate NTFS partition on that hardrive and install 7 to the new partition. If all goes well then you will have your dual boot ;)

Does that have to be done during boot? Like not starting the installation through Vista, buit to install from the DVD during startup?

Or could i just run the setup now and do a Clean Install instead of upgrade?

Is it a better idea to create a new NTFS Partition or create a VHD?

Me personally I would install on a partition rather than VHD, but thats just me.

Also a Dell Inspiron E1505 1.6 Core Duo with 2GB DDR2, 320GB HDD running dual boot Windows 7 32 build 7057 & XP Pro 32 SP3.
Partition would be better IMO but then again I haven't had time to play with VHD's yet.

Can you further explain what a VHD is?
