Can anyone tell what is the best utility maintenence and optimizeing software?

I don't believe in "optimizing" software - it's a marketing gimmick.

As for maintenance - besides monthly inspections of the interior to ensure it is free of heat trapping dust, there is no real "maintenance" other than keeping your system updated and patched, secured with a firewall and decent real-time anti-malware scanners, and the user avoiding risky practices, such as participating in illegal filesharing of copyrighted materials such as songs, videos, and other published materials, or visiting illegal porn or gambling sites.

You don't need to periodically defrag with Win7. And you don't have to periodically clean the Registry either.

I do recommend periodic cleaning of the crud with Windows 7 Disk Cleanup or CCleaner. Know your site credentials (user names and passwords) for sites you frequent before cleaning; you may have to login again at next visit. If using CCleaner, uncheck the option to install the Yahoo toolbar during installation. Before first use, go to Options > Settings > Advanced and ensure Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 24 hours is unchecked.
