Make a Public Network Private?

I need help doing this for windows 7 home ed. x32


I have my xbox 360 connected via cat 5. I cant access files unless the network is private

I don't know if this will help, but go to your Network and Sharing Center, then you should see all of your connections. Then change whatever network you want from a Public location to a Home or Work network.
