Many problems/freezes with my custom pc!

Not sure if this is the right thread, but tell me if it isn't.

Ive been having problems with my custom build a lot lately, it may be due to the heat in my room as it is summer and it gets very hot in there. Today I was watching youtube and the sound started to glitch for a second, and I think the screen may have froze but I couldn't swear to it. It then came back a second later just as nothing had ever happened. Yesterday I also had an incident where I turned my pc on, logged in but the desktop never showed up, just a black screen. I force shut down, went into safe mode and rebooted into normal windows and it was fine. Later I was playing a game with my friends and my pc just froze, couldn't move the mouse and the sound glitched again and then went out. It then returned a minute later aswell all normal. I have also had problems in the past with the driver randomly crashing, wether it be while playing games or watching youtube. All these problems really annoy me and I want to get them fixed and find out if it is all caused by the same thing, or different things.

Xfx Nforce 780i sli
4x2 gb 800 ddr2 ram
1000 watt psu
GTX 470

Hi welcome to seven forum

can you post what the temps are in bios at idle and voltages for the 12, 5, and 3.3 from the bios? then play a game for a little while and check temps again in bios.

the temps seem to be ok might want to check your ram can use memtest 86+ Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
do you have voltage readings in your bios?

Those temps are from coretemp since I dont know how to find that stuff in my bios but I can give you the voltage from coretemp but idk what 5 and 3.3 mean

they are rails on the power supply. post a screen shot of it.

I attached a picture of the cpu voltage since I dont know how to access psu voltages

can use hwmonitor to compare it with core temp. HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID
but check around in the bios and see if you can find the temp and voltage readings.

I dont know how to work with it though and im afraid ill mess something up

ok just run the memtest and see if comes back with any errors run atleast 7 passes so run it over night cause will take a while to do 7 passes

Ok now test one stick of ram at a time. To narrow down what ram stick is faulty

Ok but how long should I test it for, 7 passes still?

I would go at least 3 or until errors show
