MapleSEA Blue Screen of Death

Greetings to all.

Wherever I start the game by double-clicking on the it, it starts perfectly. After choosing Singapore or Malaysia gateway, it start off the blue screen as mentioned in the title.

I've tried to UNINSTALL, REINSTALL, DISABLE, UPDATE my graphics driver but still not solve yet. I've even tried to ask for helps in many other forums.

My laptop model is HP Compaq Presario CQ40-627TU running Windows 7 Ultimate x86/32bit.

I think it's a hardware issue. Your laptop probably can't run the game at its current state. .

Huh. Iirc the Maple Story games are 2D sprite based (and not particularly complicated ones at that, none of this modern transparency/bloom effect abuse crap). That laptop is a dual core. By all rights it should be crushing that game and having it for breakfast.

According to Microsoft, win7 compatibility shouldn't be a problem either. Other than messing with the graphics drivers and DirectX, I have no idea how to fix this.

Normally I'll download my drivers from HP websites. But for modem drivers, I can't find any on that website that match my laptop model. Any help?

I have updated the zip file attached in the first post after updated my Modem drivers. But still unable to solve it.

Update your video driver:
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\igdkmd32.sys (8.15.10.1883, 5.67 MB (5,946,368 bytes), 8/27/2009 8:00 AM)

Also check bios and audio for latest version on this site. You network driver is fine.

You're also getting IP errors.

Open an elevated command prompt and type:

ipconfig /all > sf.txt

and upload sf.txt (with paperclip) to this forum.

I don't think I need to update any drivers from this site now since I have all of them up-to-date from this site. E.g. The graphics driver I'm using is that version 8.15.10.1883 same as the site. (You can check for me if you want).

Forgot to mention... I bought my laptop in December 2009.

How about using Driver Genius Professional 10 to update my drivers?
(Can give some advice on this)

Anyway, attached is the sf.txt that you want. I am using the wireless and the LAN cable together as it is convenient to have a backup connection if one loss. I think there will be no problem using 2 at once?
