Mcafee security center - incompatible?

Thanks, I'll keep trying to figure out anymore bugs that I can find from McAfee right now and share it here.

Yeah, they can't offer support. They said the same thing on IE8 beta on Vista.

P.S. I hope there are also people out there that upgraded from a Vista system with McAfee already installed in it so I can see if they're doing fine with it too. I'm not the only one, I'm sure.

Well, let's hope that those people find their way here. If I spot any in the McAfee Forums I'll redirect them, but thus far it's all failed installation complaints.

I'm sorry (not to be rude) but I have successfully installed and run W7 with McAfee with the upgrade from vista to W7 and from a fresh install.. I'm using RTM Windows 7 ultimate 32bit edition...

Btw is it pronounced Mc-ah-fee or McAfee

In January McAfee's regular products weren't Win 7 compatible, now the beta ones are and most likely the regular ones too, although I have not tried it myself.

I, too use Mcafee, and have pre ordered the update disc. I became concerned when I read about the imcompatibility issues. I, however, have found this article from Mcafee, indicating that they will be compatiblie by October.

I know for a fact that McAfee Beta software is compatible as I have it installed on both my Win 7 RTM boots.

"Will be", where do you see that? I'm a Moderator there and as far as I know 9.15 is the only compatible one but that is the beta version.

Interesting thanks, I hadn't noticed that FAQ. I guess the 9.11 version which most people should have by now will upgrade to 9.15 as it's just the next step in the same series. That will enable the Windows 7 compatability.
