I don't understand why i'm getting the message (from this Setanta site: Webcast System Test)

The system check gives report as follows:

Required version of Windows Media Player is not installed Your current version of Windows Media Player is 6.3 .
To install the most resent version of player visit Microsoft site .

Perhaps you'd try the test and see if you can get it to work on your system?
Do I need to modify my WMP streaming?

I tried the test and I wouldn't hesitate to say that the test is outdated. It says I am using internet explorer 7 instead of 8. It says I have realplayer installed, which I don't. The site also looks extremely old ...I wouldn't have been surprised that your test says some archaic number. It even links to a site apparently on microsoft that no longer exists! Perhaps, it cannot support reading the version numbers of wmp after 6.3? :huh:

Thanks for all the help folks. Looks like it's the website and stream provider has not got their system up to scratch. There's another challenge entirely!

If you wanna check your streaming, just go to youtube or you can click on a link that can stream something with windows media player.
