Where did you get the TV image for Planet Earth? I ran the program and made the images for everything, but for some reason it won't work on Planet Earth. I didn't find it in you post of the ones you created. Can you please point me the to where I can download that image, thanks.

Now keep in mind this is not the real thing but something I through together but this is a up coming feature in MB (random changing backdrops!)

I moved the Styles_DoNoEdit.mcml file into a different folder within the mediaborwser folder (test folder). I tried to connect and MC said it didn't have permission to access the mediabrowser folder. So I shared the folder with "everyone." When I try and access it now I get this "Access to path 'C:\ProgramData\MediaBrowser\MediaBrowserXml.config' is denied. Reset to default?" If I choose Yes, the error goes away then moments later, I get an error saying "THe media browser program has stopped responding and your will be returned to Windows Media Center." If I choose No, MC freezes and I have to go back to the dashbaord to do anything.

I am having this exact same problem now. Before i had MB working just fine. Let me explain how i think i got to this situation. Was working fine until i had the need for a restore point, which was only 6 days from the day that i was restoring. MB was one of the programs affected. This was the jun 4 release ver (worked fine for me didnt see any bugs yet my own way). So after the sucessful restore, i subsequently saw that there was a new version of MB on jun 11 ( i think), so i installed that one (over the top of the previous build, yea i know). This is when i had the problem on the extender. Next completely uninstalled and manually deleted all MB folders in prgfiles and prgdata. Reinstalled, same problem still. So am left to thinking this must be a registry thing since it seems as tho its a privlidge/access error that i am seeing.

my next step is to try an just clear reg, and reinstall the jun 4 ver. I just wanted to hear of anyone else seeing this, and to atleast 2nd the motion on this report of the error.

great plug btw... anticipating the new features of 12.... I like the asthetics/eyecandy and overall display of with MB, tho i would like to see some other type of "advanced" configuration dealing with parental controls of the MC if at all possible in the future. The customization "ability" is out of this world when compared against anything.

thanks for these. 1 question, how have you gone about sorting all 11 episodes? are they each in own folder inside parent folder Planet Earth? or just naked inside Planet Earth sorted like 1 of 11 or..... ? THis has been a brain teaser for me that i cant solve.

I have all of mine in a folder of there own named after the episode inside the Planet Earth folder

I am working right now to put all the folder images to geather now but the advantage is that you can have a backdrop and icon for each folder.
I will post my folders images in a few min.

I did this because Planet Earth does not show up in any of the Metadata fetchers.
So I hope this will help some frustrated people like me out.

Ok, fixed the "CUSTOMISATION ERROR .... access denied to Styles_DoNotEdit.mcml"

Like i said this all started with the restore point. After i did the restore, and then installed over the top of with the new version of MB and still had this error, i was only going straight to the Styles_DoNotEdit and setting the permissions just for THAT file, which ultimately did not work (giving permission for the Mcx - extender account) for per file security. Only when i went to the prgdata\MediaBrowser dir and set permissions on that dir as a whole, did this do away with the error from the extender. Goofy me, should have known to have done this instead of just per the file itself alone. But this was the fix. Hope this helps out others in the same boat.

demonseed - i installed that theme to 7mc and ended up getting rid of it cause the background made it hard to read the foreground, but, you can do to your machine whatever you want, it's not for me is all. I am currently more concerned with getting all my genre icons etc sorted out, and looking into learning MCML so i can try to make my own plugin for mediabrowser to do music so the 17000 odd songs i have can be listened to and found more easily.
