Ok, so my mic was working fine on vista for everything I use (skype, vent css, tf2, etc) but i upgraded and now for some reason, the mic still works but it will suddenly cut out and the volume will max out creating an ear raping static/white noise scream. its annoying because I have to disable my mic, and re enable it for it to go away.
