Native audio is Realtek HD.
My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti.
Both are listed in Device Manager under Sound, vido and game controllers, along with my Logitech USB webcam and one other item:
- HD Pro Webcam C920
- Intel Display Uaido
- NVIDIA High Definition Audio
- Realtek High Definition Audio
For some reason, the webcam picks up audio just fine in all applications I've used it with (Logitech video recorder, Skype, Zoom, etc).
My Plantronics headset using their 2.5mm-to-USB adapter works okay as well. (When I plug that into the USB port, it adds "C-Media USB Audio Device" under Sound, video and game controllers in Device Manager.)
But if I try to use any other kind of mic input, it doesn't seem to work.
The Plantronics USB dongle for use with their Voyager Legend Bluetooth headsest won't work. It's listed but no sound input. Well, it shows sound registering in the monitor bar in Sound > Recording intermittently, briefly, on occasion, when first connect, but never holds. 99% of the time it's not registering any sound.
When I plug a 3.5mm mic into the front or rear mic input jacks, the same thing occurs.
In both of those cases, I've tried the USB and mic inputs on the front of the computer and the rear, with no change in the results.
I also tried a mic input with the webcam unplugged, and that didn't help either.
Maybe I need to get a 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapter and plug my mic into the Plantronics USB adapter that works with their headset and shows up as C-Media USB Audio Device in Device Manager?
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
