Hi all,

I am trying to get my microphone (a Samsung earbud mic) to work. My computer can hear everything that is "loud", like when I tap the microphone on the desk or when I breathe heavily into the mic. But the mic can't hear my voice at all. The microphone boost is maxed out (at 30 dB) and the microphone is not muted. I have looked for several hours online but no one else seems to have posted a similar problem. Any ideas?

Exactly what do you have? What type of plug is on the mic? If it was made for phones, and some game consoles it will have a "three" connector (Tip, Ring1, Ring2, Sleeve) rather than the standard 1/8" stereo (Tip, Ring Sleeve) connector that is used for PC mics.

If it is the three connector plug you will have to get an adapter to make it work.
