microsoft miniport adapter issue

I tryed to connect mto the internet on my laptop but it keep saying internet explorer cannont display the webpage and there is an x through my signal bar on the bottom right corner.i tryed plugging in my internet in nother computer and it worked fine.i tryed trobleshooting my network adapter and. this message pops up ... there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter and the microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware - related problem. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. This device is just a virtual device and it should not affect connecting the wireless network with the physical wireless adapter... Go to the Device Manager Click on Network Adapters to check which one you have as there are two on the HP Website .. Then download the one you need ..

open cmd with admin privlages and type this in and enter after each line

netsh wlan stop hostednetwork
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=disallow

Hi there .. Miniport Adapteris not really hardware. It is Windows software for emulating the absence of a connection on most client systems.. Are you having difficulties with your connection ?

That is your Laptops Model Number .. Does your Stick Adapter have a Driver Installed for it ... Go to the Device select it right click select Details there will be a Hardware ID there Post it ...

Go to the Device Manager USB ports you should see your usb stick there .. Select it right click then Details Hardware ID ..

Seems the Driver is Installed for that Device ... I reckon your Stick did not come with a Disc for Insulation ... Are there any errors beside the Device ?

In my experience these stick Connections are a bit hit and miss .. Work some times other they dont .. Can not see a factory reset helping ..
