I'm trying to install Microsoft Office 2013 Professional on my laptop from a USB with the OFFICIAL ISO on it, not a torrent. I am getting an error which reads
"Error 1318. Setup cannot create the folder
C:\ProgramData\Microsft\OFFICE\UICaptions. Verify that the path exists in your system and that you have sufficient permissions to update it."
I am the only account on this laptop, being an administrator, I have tried running this as an admin, changing the permissions of the OFFICE file in ProgramData to "Full control" and it replied with "Access is denied." while trying to apply security information.
When I try double-clicking the OFFICE file in the hidden ProgramData folder, it says that the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
Any ideas on how I can get around this issue, any help would be much appreciated, thank you for reading.

Welcome to the forum. Open a cmd prompt then type

chkdsk c: /r

say yes to check on reboot the drive may be corrupt thats giving the problems

It then says the volume is in use by another process. I hit yes when it asked if I want to schedule the volume to be checked next time I restart, the laptop boots up just like normal. I tried Checking the disk for errors with "Check Now" in Properties of Local Disk C:, it said the disk is in use.
I tried defragmenting the disk but C: doesn't even show up in the list, the only disk that shows up is "System Reserved".

I also tried chkdsk c: /f and it said the same thing as the above command.
