Microsoft office preinstalled trail

I have a new computer that came with "Microsoft Office" pre-installed with a trial version. Since I do not have a use for it, I uninstalled it. However, I keep getting notices that there are important security updates for 2007 Microsoft Office System available.
The question is: Are these upgrades for the same trial program I unistalled or have I made an error and they are something important to the operating system?

Updates for the OS are always labelled as such.

It sounds like the trial system left some bits and pieces lying around that are getting picked up by the update system. Check in your Add or Remove Programs to see if there's anything else pertaining to Office.

Go to search type the offical name for office, see what comes up. Then try to delete.

Then get the free cc cleaner, it will clean all the gunk from the hard drive. You can google CC I do noth have the URL.

No joy. Nothing in "Add or Remove Programs", no programs show up when I type in "Microsoft Office" in the search box.

Even if it does not work this time, its good to have. It really cleans your hard drive. Many of us here use it.

If it does not work then we have to look elsewhere.
