Hi All, I installed Microsoft Publisher 2010 and tried to buy a manual or Users Guide in book form at Barns & Noble. I like to have a hard copy to read. They had a copy of
Microsoft Publisher 2007 manual but not one 2010 copy. I tried to find one on line as well. No 2010 books! Could it be that the 2010 issue isn't out yet? Why would Microsoft have a 2007 book available but not the current version? I assume the 2010 software version came out at least a year ago so I would think they would have a book out by now. Does anyone have any info? :)

Try Amazon. If you are new to Publisher, but familiar with other Office products, you probably don't need a book. It's fairly easy to learn. If you do decide on a book, the For Dummies series is great.

DeaconFrost & Seavixen, Thanks for responding. You're right that I don't NEED a book, but this is a convenience thing. I actually used Publisher 97 and 2002. I bought the Microsoft book for Publisher 97, and found steps to do things that you wouldn't easily find on line. I can buy the Publisher 2007 edition, and might have to do that if 2010 isn't too different. I just don't know why there is no 2010 Microsoft book.

Publisher 2010 help!!

Hi all, I have two questions:

1. What BOOK do you recommend for a fairly experienced Publisher user who needs to look up the odd problem and gets no help from "help" in the software.

2. I have made the mistake of writing a book on Publisher, saved to a single file. (Text and photos.) I'd like to split this material into several new smaller files, because the book slows down Publisher substantially. I'm having a lot of trouble doing cut or copy/paste from one file into a different file.

[I can move pages around *within* one file, but can't successfully move a whole page to another file. Sometimes I can copy all of the images in one step, but the text has to be moved box by box, and re-aligned.]

Note: If there is a way just to designate certain of the pages I've written - e.g. pp 1-20 - and somehow save those ONLY as a new file, and continue like this through the manuscript, that seems most efficient.

Ideas? Thank you!
