There is not a changelog for any version of MSE.

I've just installed it and as I already had MSE installed, this version installs as an upgrade.

It's anti-virus database must be a lot bigger as the original version was a 9 MB download, this version is 12 MB.

There is not a changelog for any version of MSE.

That probably explains why I can't find it. That's one of my problems with MS. Really difficult to decide if you want to try a new version if you can't get an idea what's new. Oh well such is life...

Weird, the package I downloaded was 9MB and said I need to first uninstall MSE. MS strikes again. Still same version for me.

Indeed, it upgraded.

Updated mine tonight, no problems to report. I just downloaded right from the website and updated my installed version. It's scanning now.

It just came through as an automatic update notice for me. Along with a Bing desktop offering. It shows 12Mb and is downloading as I type.

I've been a MAJOR skeptic of MSE for a long time. But ever since I've been using Windows 8, that's kind of changing. Windows Defender has MSE basically built in, and it seems to be doing a fair job honestly.

Did mine through Windows Update in Win 7 Prof x64 - no problems, though it looks so plain now compared to previous versions. I've been running MSE and Malewarebytes for years now & no probs whatsoever

Updated fine here too but they have played around a little with the file structure a little so I had to amend my scheduled task I have to update on boot to the new location.
All good now though.
