Personally, I couldn't care at all what anyone chooses to use as an AV program. Myself, I go for the one that performs the best on a regular basis

hi all , can i use the full version off ad-adware along with security essentials as in the paid version of ad-adware there says there is an anti-virus.So would there be any conflicts between the 2 of them

Just as long as you don't have 2 real-time scanners going at the same time, you should be good.

There are reports that Malwarebytes and MSE work well together, but I can't recommend running 2 scanners as a general rule.

I have NOD32 on my Vista partition that doesn't run out until June this year. When I got Windows 7 last October I thought I'd give MSE a try, thinking that if it worked out alright I wouldn't need to renew my NOD32.

I wont be renewing NOD32 I'm very happy with MSE it does a very good job and isn't heavy on resources either, I have it running alongside the paid version of MalwareBytes, which runs in real time and the free version of SpywareBlaster the Windows firewall all behind a very secure router.

Yea MSE is no hassle at all on system resources, im loving it, and yea I been using malwarebytes... sp yea MSE and malwarebytes are the 2 programs im using for protection, they are both a good combo.

Its interface is extremely simplistic though, its process on task manager is SLIGHLTY high. On my task list, msmpeng.exe usually takes around 80 megs of ram... BUT that doesn't make it a bad program.. Just more ram to load during startup, causing a slightly degradation in system speed.

I just reinstalled Vista Ultimate SP2 on a friends laptop and downloaded MSE from Microsoft. I tried 3 times to install it but continually got an error and hence it wouldn't install. I gave up and put Avast 5 on it for her. Oh well, I tried.

Same here and personally, I can't use MSE. I'm in the bunch that has problems with it's performance. Very high cpu on desktop loading for a minimum of six minutes, updates when received maybe every other third day also cause high cpu for the duration of the update, opening folders with alot of files/icons carries the same high cpu in addition to taking said folder a forever of time to load. Best advice for anyone wanting to know is to try it on for size and see how it works with their setup. Chances are that it will work fine. I just happen to be in the good company of the many others out there which had the same problems as I mentioned.
