do you know how to stop the upgrade of MSE. i have the older version and i don"t want to upgrade but it keeps tell me to upgrade. what can i do ? it is a way to modify some registry or something like that?

what upgrade are you talking about, from v1 to v2 ?

you have misunderstood this thread...
there is no upgrade from MSE v1 to v2.
the upgrade mentioned here is to a newer version of v1.

MSE v2-beta must be downloaded separately, then v1 must be uninstalled before you install v2-beta.

when v2-beta is finally released there might be an upgrade directly from v1.

so you can relax, Microsoft is NOT forcing you to upgrade to MSE v2-beta....

ok , so i have the last version of the mse but i want the old one. when i install an old version the update center prompt me to upte the mse but i don"t want . if i dont upgrade an icon apears near the clock and kepp tell me to upgrade

you have misunderstood this thread...
there is no upgrade from MSE v1 to v2.
the upgrade mentioned here is to a newer version of v1.

It is an update to Version 1 that you have installed not a new version.
It is very poor terminology by MS.

It's not quite bad terminology

You are infact upgrading from 1 revision/version to another so technically it is an upgrade.

My question still stands to adictontakt, why not download the upgrade? You'll find that it probably hosts stability & security updates that cannot be downloaded via the definition updates.
