Microsoft Snooping or the regime of AI commencing??

I've been a Win 7 user for years... When I buy a used laptop which invariably has Win 10 pre-installed (yugh !!!), I spend hours reloading
Win 7 but usually difficult to find Win 7 drivers for laptops which have a standard configuration for Win 10.
I have an ACER ASPIRE E5-575G with reloaded Win7 drivers running much quicker than my other laptop which has Win 10.

I sometimes boot the Win 10 laptop to remind me how pervasive Win 10 behaves - usually forcing upgrades and attempting to
force the use of Edge (Yugh!!!) - I use Mozilla Firefox.

Today, Microsoft "invaded" my Win 7 system and announced that I should update to WIn 11 ??? Microsoft knew I was running Win 7 and advised me that Win 7 support had ended. It then gave me a black screen stating that my Win 7 was "not genuine". Fortunately, I knew how to resolve this issue. Is this the beginning of the regime of AI - Artificial Intelligence??? Anyone else had this problem??

What did you see, exactly?

Of course, Microsoft doesn't "invades" anything, knowing your OS is often trivial and spam all around the web ("ads") suggest that you should downgrade to Win10/11, it's a very common ocurrence and not the sign of anything nefarious happening.

The black screen is an activation issue, just enter your serial into the activation box and you're done, nothing to worry about, another common ocurrence.

About the AI, it's completely unrelated to anything else in the post.

Thanks for response, Alejandro85.

I think you misread my thread. you said "downgrade to Win 10/11" - I am using Win 7 and refuse to "upgrade" to Win 10/Win 11 which
I find is very pervasive. I attempted to use Win 10 for several hours - it forces updates which, on one occasion, crashed my system.
It also attempts to force use of Edge so as MS can earn more revenue from ads.

Win 10 "help" automatically loads Edge to search internet for "help" solutions.

Win 10 carries the severe baggage of "Apps" use to permit touch screen PC and laptops which I do NOT use - prefer mouse and keyboard.

What did I see exactly?

I booted my system, as normal and received a message which said "Support for Win 7 has ended. Upgrade to Win 10/Win 11"

It also noted my version of Win7 was "unofficial or unauthorised" (can't remember exact term) and gave me a black background screen - this was no problem, I initially used "restore" - but the black screen returned - so I simply retyped the Product Key.

One day, I will have to replace my ACER E5-575 laptop - but if I am forced to use Win10/Win11 - I'll probably switch to a Macbook :)
